Pastor Lisa Blaylock
Pastor Lisa Blaylock was appointed to Paradise Hills United Methodist Church in July 2025. A lifelong New Mexican, she grew up in the Albuquerque area, graduated from Los Lunas High School, and went on to attend New Mexico State University. In 2005, she earned her Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology and has joyfully served as an ordained Elder in The United Methodist Church ever since. Lisa is married to Jeff, who faithfully supports her ministry. Outside of church life, she enjoys walking, reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors. At home, their dog Maxwell brings both joy and a little mischief to daily life. She is excited to join the Paradise Hills community, sharing in its life of faith, service, and fellowship.

Chaplain John Alvarado
Chaplain John Alvarado moved from East Hampton, New York, to Albuquerque in the summer of 2006 to help his wife care for her aging mother—and quickly fell in love with New Mexico. In time, he discovered that his maternal grandmother was Navajo, a connection that deepened his sense of truly being home. John and his wife, Susan, own a local pest control business, but his greatest passion is serving God by serving others.

Jordan Fisher-Garcia Director of Youth & Family Ministries
Jordan Fisher-Garcia serves as our Communications Director, helping share the story of what God is doing in and through our church. With creativity and care, she ensures that every message—online, in print, and in person—reflects our mission and connects people to community. Jordan also leads our youth ministry, where she is passionate about walking alongside teens as they discover their identity and purpose in Christ. She works to create a welcoming, Christ-centered space where students can grow in faith, ask honest questions, and serve others with joy. Before joining PHUMC, Jordan studied Communications and Business Administration at Wayland Baptist University.

Becky Talbot Director of Music
Becky Talbott has served as Director of Music Ministry since July 2020. With a lifelong passion for music and the piano, she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Music and has taught students from preschool through university. After a long and fulfilling career as a music educator, Becky followed her calling into Music Ministry. She is dedicated to creating meaningful and inspiring worship experiences that bring people closer to God through music.

Angie Rippie
Angie Rippie has been employed at the preschool since 2004. Her passion is teaching, loving, and sharing God’s love not only with the preschool children but also with their families. She began her early childhood education journey over 30 years ago when her oldest child was in preschool.
