Outreach

Outreach at Paradise Hills United
Methodist Church

Reaching out to those outside confines of the church, with the love
of Christ, is one of the central purposes of our ministry at PHUMC.
PHUMC actively encourages it’s members to reach out to the community
with the message of God’s grace, forgiveness and healing through Jesus
Christ. Below is a partial list of the ministries supported by members of
our community of faith and contact information.

Albuquerque Christian Children’s Home

We take donations for ACCH from their on-line list of needs.  We’ll be collecting an item for them for the 5th Sunday in May donation.  We are also part of their prayer group.

 Saranam

We furnished and decorated an apartment for a family in November and look forward to more decorating in the future.  Youth helped move the office to a new building.  We also provide volunteers in various jobs.

Rust Pediatrics

The church provides 10 coloring books and 10 boxes of crayons to the children in the pediatric unit at Rust hospital each week.  This helps the nurses keep them occupied.

Locker 505

They offer clothes and school supplies to disadvantaged students.  Most recently we have collected underwear for 505.  During the summer we’ll be collecting shoes and socks for delivery to 505 in August.

Feed NM Kids

We provide weekend food for food-deprived students.  The church purchases and bags 40 snack packs per week for students at Cochiti Elementary School.  We hope to expand the number of bags for the 2026-27 school year since more children need assistance.
